IET – International Energy Transition supported the International Solar Alliance (ISA) in developing an expert training course for solar.

From 2011 to 2016, Dr. Jacobs was lecturer for Master and PhD Students at the Freie Universität and at the University of Applied Sciences HTW in Berlin.

Dr. Jacobs delivered a 2-day workshop on the creation of a legal framework for the promotion of renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan.

Dr. Jacobs conducted a 3-day technical assistance workshop in Abuja (Nigeria).

Dr. David Jacobs trained staff from the German development agency GIZ on support mechanisms for renewable energy technologies.

Dr. Jacobs delivered a two-day capacity building and knowledge-transfer workshop on renewable energy policy design in Saudi Arabia, coveringa a variety of support mechanisms and their implications.

Dr. Jacobs executed three distinct 2-day IRENA training workshops for high level policymakers in East Africa (Tanzania), MENA region (Egypt) and LAC region (Peru) as a means to introduce relevant IRENA tools, methods, and initiatives to them.

Dr. Jacobs executed a 4-day capacity building workshop on feed-in tariff rate calculation for policy makers and regulators in Ghana. The workshop, which was part of a World Bank project, discussed and assessed various feed-in tariff calculation methodologies.

IET – International Energy Transition GmbH developed material for an online training course on “Support Mechanisms for Renewable Energy” on behalf of RENAC. The online course covered all major renewable energy support schemes, including net metering, feed-in tariffs, auctions, tradable green certificate mechanisms, and fiscal incentives.

Dr. David Jacobs co-conducted a one week IRENA training workshop for policy makers, regulators and public utilities from five ECOWAS countries (Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal).
