Co-Benefits of renewables deployment in South Africa, India, Turkey and Vietnam
IET – International Energy Transition GmbH assists policymakers in South Africa, India, Vietnam and Turkey in assessing and quantifying co-benefits related to the deployment of renewable energies in the electricity sector. The project aims to execute studies quantifying several co-benefits, for instance job effects, health cost reductions, reduced water consumption, local value creation, and energy security. The project COBENEFITS links these co-benefits to mitigation strategies and measures in the target countries. The three year project is financed by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Federal Ministry of Environment and implemented by IASS, RENAC, UFU and IET.
