Readiness for Investment in Sustainable Energy (RISE) in Germany

The RISE project was set up by the World Bank Group/IFC to assess the policy and regulatory environment for private investment in sustainable energy (energy access, renewable energy, and energy efficiency) in 111 countries. Dr. David Jacobs examined investment conditions in Germany, analysing 27 indicators and 80 sub-indicators. The analysis was based on primary and secondary literature reviews and the validation of findings via expert interviews with project developers, industry representatives and policymakers. RISE highlights good practices across countries that can foster a sound, enabling environment for sustainable energy and peer learning.
