Webinar on electricity markets with high shares of wind and PV

IET – International Energy Transition GmbH conducted a webinar on the emerging design of electricity markets, discussing key pillars for the integration of high shares of wind and PV. To achieve this, the electricity system needs to become more flexible in order to balance supply and demand at all times. The webinar discussed key design features of future electricity markets, including incentives for more flexible fossil-fuel based and renewable-based power generation, modifications to the design of electricity markets, incentives for more flexible demand, and storage options.
