PV Self-Consumption in the Commercial Sector
IET – International Energy Transition GmbH contributed to a report analysing the effects of a large uptake of non-incentivised commercial PV (RE-PROSUMERS) on behalf of IEA-RETD. The report focused on the technical and economic potential of commercial-scale prosumers in order to help policy makers better calibrate enabling policies and forward-looking prosumer strategies. This included an analysis of the specific investment decisions in the commercial sector, including shorter amortisation periods and higher IRR expectations. Dr. Jacobs was lead consultant for the analysis of self-consumption and prosumerism in Germany. The project was executed in cooperation with Meister Consultant Group and E3 Analytics.
