Renewable Energy Policy Workshop in Saudi Arabia

Dr. Jacobs delivered a two-day capacity building and knowledge-transfer workshop on renewable energy policy design in Saudi Arabia. The workshop was organised for policymakers and representatives of the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KA-CARE). The workshop covered a variety of topics, including feed-in tariff design, rate setting and calculation, and a detailed evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of different support mechanisms as well as their impacts on the existing electricity grid and on grid expansion planning.
